We were driving south on the Tail of the Dragon (rt 129) in Tennessee. We stopped at the first scenic overlook and were surprised to see a large number of monarchs feeding on a tall plant with white tops, which I believe was milkweed. This was around noon with a temp of about 59 degrees.
