Wow!!! This evening over the course of about a half hour I witness over 1000+ robins on the wing!!

It was sunset...around 5:45pm EST. Temperature roughly around 50 degrees.

Atmospherically the skies were perfectly clear and there were no clouds at all. The sun shown on them and made them glow muchly.

They were all coming from the direction of Worcester MA and flying over the airport to the west side of the airport. First they came is small groups of a dozen or less. Then they came in groups of 20-40. Then they started coming in groups of 50-100. I literally stopped counting at about 700 or so.

It made me so happy to see them on their way as temps have been dropping.

Many of them dropped into the woods around the airport light enclosures but a decent amount of them just kept going at a decent height.

Truly a wonderful spectacle.
