Though we reached our "peak of color" weeks ago, now the Tamarack needles are golden and ready to drop. The Silver Maples are now dropping yellow leaves. Most farmer's potato fields are harvested, broccoli just cut and sent to market. Yesterday I spied some the last of the cabbage still in the field.
