Avail Academy students have been participating in Journey North's Tulip Test Garden citizen science project for 14 years! This year's students wondered if tulips are impacted by microclimates. Middle school students planted 3 tulip test gardens to determine the impact microclimates on plant growth. It's going to be a long winter but we look forward to anticipating and tracking the arrival of spring. Thank you Journey North! Your projects allow us to reach beyond our COVID-19 isolation and give us the opportunity to share our local observations with a global citizen science community.
