Signs of Fall

Date: 10/29/2020

Number: 1

We watched a hawk migration directly over our house yesterday afternoon. It was rainy and windy all morning but cleared up by mid afternoon. The temp was about 80 degrees with a strong wind coming out of the south. We counted 49 hawks in the space of 30 minutes. They were gliding south in groups of 3 to 5. It was a spectacular sight! We also saw large numbers of robins in groups flying south. It's hard to know if they were migrating though, because we have a lot of robins here all winter.
