Found-a total surprise monarch caterpillar on potted yellow blooming milkweed I have taken in when temps drop below freezing. Thus a late deposited egg survived and hatched! My last released indoor nurtured wild monarch was on Nov. 15, and I thought he was the latest and last! This one appears to be 3rd instar...
