My husband saw the butterfly just as it emerged from the chrysalis. This was the first of two pupae ever to hang from this milkweed that I planted in March 2020. Milkweed bloomed in July 2020. I cut it back in Sept 2020. Second pupa dried up the third week in November, most likely from erratic weather temps Oct-Nov.
