Eclosed in screened AZ room on 01/09/2021. Moved caterpillar into mesh cage on AZ milkweed in pot after several lost to predation; he formed chrysalis 12/09/2020, thought cold had done him in as cage fully exposed to natural weather patterns and sunlight. Found fully eclosed, tagged him (BT805) and carried him to zinnia, where he nectared, warmed wings quivering and took off, flying high into a neighbor's pine tree, then off in westerly direction. Flight was about 4:20pm, sunny, gentle to no breeze, temperature about 63-degrees. Tagged BT805
