Monarch Adult Sighted
Sightings report image

Date: 01/14/2021

Number: 1

Male Monarch observed feeding on bougainvillea blooms.

We were not expecting to see monarchs so soon. We cut back any milkweed that does not die off over winter. So we only have feeder plants. You always want only fresh growth each season to reduce chances of spreading O E protozoa that causes deformity etc.

The wings did not show wear so I am guessing it must have come up from Florida keys not Mexico.
