Overwintering Rufous went to replaced hanging basket of fountain purple Scutlaria, (Texas skull cap)Last summers rain and heat knocked out 3 baskets of. Now if I could just keep squirels from digging in basket where Wrens bury their peanuts.
On another note abundant Pine siskins have invaded hummingbird plant area going to wild bird feeders. I heard from Bill Audubon friend they are coming in from California most likely past fires possible.
Lots of American goldfinches also.
Rufous stays in his area of plants moved further away from this feeding frenzy activity
