This is one of a number of eggs I saw on three patches of milkweed in my butterfly garden, though I did not go around and count them all. I saw this butterfly laying eggs but there was just one. I had a busy fall and winter with monarch and the larva, but with the cold weather there was a lull of a few weeks.
