This male monarch came out of a chrysalis I had been watching now there are two left (that I can find) Most monarch activity in my yard is busy in the fall and spring when the weather is moderate, but it has been colder than normal. The chrysalis took longer than normal to open with a monarch and it did not turn completely brown, just a tint with wings. The Monarch opened and closed his wings well.
