I walked outside and heard cedar waxwings. But it was the robin in the tree next to the truck that caught my eye. Then I saw a few more under the crabapple tree eating dropped fruit. I counted 12 robins. Most were bright orange/red with dark brown backs. But I did see a lighter colored orange breast on one bird. The temp was 21F, with a 15 mph wind so it felt like 10F, but it was sunny. They were making some alarm calls, probably about me, but continued to feed under the crabapple tree as I was not a threat.
