We are having our coldest temperatures in over 100 years here in Oklahoma. The 2 days when the Robins visited me were anywhere from 4 degrees down to -10 degrees temperatures with wind chills down to -25. I've never seen a huge flock of Robins like this ever and especially not this early in the year. Spring is still a ways away. They were all huge! This is when I learned this was because they fluffed their feathers. It was a beautiful experience for me. They were carrying berries in their beaks. They left behind a whole lot of "stuff" on my sidewalk which was also covered with snow. At first I thought it was their waste, but then I came to believe it was the berries in some kind of form. The first day, Feb. 13, 2021, there was snow on the ground but the 2nd day, snow was a good 12" to 14" deep. But still they came.
