Saw 5 or maybe 6 robins on a walk around noon today on the Lake Wobegon Trail. The trail crosses over Hoboken Creek in the area and the robins were drinking from open patches in the ice on the creek. I am not sure if these robins have migrated north, or if they over-wintered here. I have seen at least one over-wintering robin in the area in another year. I just don't know if a group this large would over-winter together in the same spot. The robins looked healthy and were active. It was 8 degrees above zero at the time and sunny with no wind.
