Monarch Waystation #271 reports two groups of scattered robins, one group of 6 or 7, the other of 7 or 8, both walking and feeding as widely spaced individuals. The larger group was searching the mulched area in front of the building north of my townhouse, the smaller group searched the common area lawn behind my townhouse. A juvenile robin walked partway into the back yard to visually scan it, then moved west behind fence line, then an adult female walked into the yard near the downspout about 8 feet away from where the juvenile exited. Adult was eyeballing leaves along the yard's patio edge. She came into the backyard, flipped a few leaves near the patio, moved to leaves nearer the common area, successfully struck at something small, bolted it down, flew NW to the top of the neighbor's stockade fence, perched a moment and flew west. Whole observation period of both groups was 11:00 to 11:06am
