Robin (OTHER Observations)

Date: 02/23/2021

Number: 8

at 6:30a approx 8000 Robins flew over my deck to S.E. at 6:35a to 7:00a and returned at dusk from 5:45p to 6:25p. Using the stop watch start/stop method of approximation. Groups of 5 to 100 are common but at peak flyover a flock of 2,000-3,000, 100 yds wide,(my field of view) at 50 ft alt.(AGL) lasting 45-65 seconds duration fly out. The return evening fly over is a more steady stream, but less dense, lasting a little longer than morning. This has been ongoing for over 2 wks now and we are on this deck every morning for 13 years and have never witnessed this phenom!!the robin chatter in the evening is so loud and fun before they quiet for roost!
