On Feb. 11 I saw this hummingbird threaten a Red-Shouldered hawk that was sitting on a nearby power pole.
This hummingbird survived the sleet on 02/14/2021 and the temperature of 16F or lower. Her feeder froze every few hours but I was able to change it out with a fresh feeder with liquid nectar. She is still here. All flowers were killed in the freeze. I believe she has been here all winter, rather than migrating.
