I clearly saw with my binoculars an adult Bald Eagle soaring over my property. The eagle was no more than 150 yards above me. The property is entirely snow covered. However, 7.5 miles due west of the sighting, there was lots of open water along a substantial portion of the Richelieu River which flows out of Lake Champlain.
