Monarch (OTHER Observations)

Date: 02/24/2021

Number: 1

Question...would we be foolish to think that any of the monarchs that winter in the southern part of the US survived last weeks freeze? And the freezing of all plants would leave any survivors with a nectar source. It breaks my heart to realize that all the work we do to help the species survive can be taken away in a matter of days. As with the huge cold spell that hit the Mexican overwintering sights 15-20 years ago.
