Between Feb.19-26, I tagged and released 5 adult monarchs- 2 males & 3 females. In January, I had collected a 5th instar from A. angustifolia, a native Arizona milkweed growing in my yard in Tempe, AZ. I moved the larva to a protective rearing cage on my patio. I tagged and released BU400 to nectar on cosmos. The tags are from Southwest Monarch Study. The weekly daytime temperatures ranged from the mid 50's in the morning to 80 degrees in the afternoon.
