All Other Signs of Spring

Date: 02/27/2021

Number: 1

Later in the afternoon, maybe 4:00 pm, when I was outside, I heard the first killdeer of the spring. Kill-dee, kill-dee, kill-dee. It was still sunny and 50 F, with a southerly 7 mph wind. I think the killdeer was traveling with the red-winged blackbirds I'd seen and heard at noon today! (I also reported the red-winged blackbirds separately.)
