Yesterday my wife saw her 1st Monarch of the season and today I saw my first Monarch in our backyard. It was a female at about 10:30 this morning. She was flying low from west to east landing about every 40-50 feet. The winds are blowing strong from the south and she was making a determined effort to stay low to inspect plants.
