Our banded buff-bellied hummingbird is still here. It has been with us every day, apparently all day, since we first spotted it in our backyard on 20 November 2020. See our 12 February 2021 report for a photo. eBird indicates that all sightings of buffies in New Orleans have occurred September through mid-April, so we might expect to see our buffy for another month. In Louisiana they have been reported on eBird in every month but June: https://ebird.org/species/bubhum/US-LA, so perhaps we will be pleasantly surprised in April.
