In the golden, late afternoon sun - just now - we observed a bald eagle eating his/her catch atop pond ice and also perching at edge of ice to sip water! Have only this mobile phone snapshot to offer. But watching this in binoculars was spectacular!

Many wood ducks also in pond today, males and females - at least two dozen in total, probably more.
