Monarch Egg (FIRST sighted)
Sightings report image

Date: 03/15/2021

Number: 6

At 6:15pm today I saw a beautiful monarch laying eggs on newly emerged milkweed (Ascelpias viridis). Her photo is on the Monarch Adult Sighted section for today's date. I am sure she laid more than 6 eggs, but I only had a chance to look at two of the plants. She had visited at least six plants during my observation of her, as well as scouting for more.
This is a photo of a milkweed sprout with 4 newly laid eggs on it.
