Several of us in the Butterfly Brigade saw our first Monarch of the season mid day on Monday, March 15. This is a full week earlier than last year and over a month earlier than 2018. No native milkweed has broken ground, so we are buying tropical milkweed to try to accommodate the females who are ready to lay eggs.
