Late afternoon I noticed one fly past a window. Then found one on a large ornamental pear tree. There could have been three or four but only saw two at the same time. He's really early for the resources. Only a few scattered forb flowers yet. A few trees blooming and shrubs. Zero milkweeds (A. asperula) have emerged. Both photos are of same individual. Left wing ragged and split. No apparent effect on flight.
