This is a follow-up photo to my Monarch Adult Sighted report. One of the female monarchs I followed today had quite damaged wings, though she flew beautifully and laid eggs on many milkweed sprouts ~ usually after a diligent search. She also took brief nectar breaks between egg-laying. Her go-to nectar sources were the false garlic flowers which are blooming all over the fields. This is her photo as she sips from one of the little flowers.
