I checked the field down the street from me for milkweed growth, eggs, and Monarchs.
I spotted 1 Monarch on the way to the field and 1 while I was at the field. The one at the field was flying about 10 feet high heading north and did not seem interested in any vegetation. Winds from SSE at 5mph. No eggs and good signs of milkweed growth. The plants are finally emerging from the old growth quite well. Just need more of them.
