I saw this faded and tattered male Monarch at the Ladybird Johnson Wildflower Center today. I did not see any milkweed emerging in the fields there yet, however. I believe that I saw 2 migrating Monarchs about a week ago in Central Austin, so this was likely not my very first spring sighting, but it was the first I could confirm with a photo.
