Sightings report image

Date: 03/25/2021

Number: 1

This is a 2nd follow-up to my Monarch Adult Sighted report for today. In this photo the female monarch has dropped into the grass below the milkweed plants. (One has to look closely to see her.) She did this in response to a male monarch flying her way. He flew around above her location for a bit, but then went back to nectaring on false garlic flowers (quite abundant as can be seen in this photo). After a few minutes she emerged from hiding and went back to egg-laying.
