Monarch Larva Sighted
Sightings report image

Date: 03/29/2021

Number: 1

This is a newborn monarch larva found in the late afternoon today. I think that this may be Whorled Milkweed (Asclepias verticillata). I have seen monarchs nectar from its flowers, but I had never seen (or looked for) an egg or larva on it. Is this Whorled Milkweed? Or maybe something else?
