On 3/31/2021, I observed first shoots of the year of Asclepias incarnata and Asclepias perennis in wetland garden at front of house. Given that they were already an inch tall, I estimate their initial emergence date as two days ago (I've been tracking milkweed development in spring for years...so my estimate might be right).
I inspected precise locations of Asclepias tuberosa plants, but don't see their new shoots yet.
