I was surprised to see a solitary butterfly in my backyard this sunny afternoon. It looked very much like a Monarch (which we have all summer). It landed on a tree trunk for a rest. Seems very early for any butterfly to be here. I noticed one other March sighting in Toronto and one a bit west of Toronto so I decided to file this sighting.
