This is a follow-up photo to my Monarch Adult Sighted report. This is one of the male monarchs nectaring from one of the thistles on this cloudy day. The thistles (Cirsium horridulum) are super nectar spigots and always have a lot of monarch activity around them. Thankfully we have a lot more now blooming ~ providing nutritious nectar.
