Four adult monarchs observed for 45 minutes to 1 hour. They were constantly flying around only rarely landing high (> 15 feet) in cedar elm (Ulmus crassifolia) trees, making it difficult to take pictures. One pair appeared to be mating, as they locked up in mid-flight, fell to the ground, then flew off separately. Tried to ascertain food source; adults appear to be feeding on mustang grape (vitis mustangensis), which is currently in bloom.
