I noticed a Monarch butterfly in my garden near some recently sprouted milkweed plants. I didn't see her land but when I checked, almost all of the plants had eggs laid on them. Most of the sprouts were less that 5 inches tall.. I have no idea how she found them!... we are in the middle of a residential neighborhood. I planted the milkweed 5 years ago... didn't see a single Monarch on the plants last year.
