This is one of a mating pair that have been around the lake (large pond) and in a tall tree behind our house. Someone said they have a nest at one end but I have not witnessed this. They catch fish and try to catch squirrels. The male (or who I believe is the male) hangs around the lake longer but the female always leaves first.
