Hummingbird, Ruby-throated (FIRST)

Date: 04/11/2021

Number: 1

We have an Apple tree in bloom, in our backyard. I think that this is where the Hummers are hanging out. I have several every year that I feed.
I just filled three feeders and set them out Sunday evening.I did this as I noted 1 lone male who seems very familiar with the area. Saw young female next day, who is frightened of people.Saw her again yesterday on the 13th.
We used to hang out 7 feeders and they would empty them very fast.About 3 years ago, we had a blacktop road put in. There was a lot of construction or shall I say demolition of trees and shrubbery going on at that time. We have since had less birds showing up here. I would say we had about 100 of them visiting for several years and now maybe 40 at the most.
