This was the first egg I saw this season it is now in chrysallis for apx 8 days. I rear some indoors and now have about 50 eggs and 30 caterpillars first instar. I have at least 10 third instar outside on the milkweed plants and adults in the yard all day. I plant more milkweed to feed my indoor babies and the more I plant the more outdoor reared I have.
