Beautiful day today and we saw many Monarchs in our area. It seems like a faded male Monarch is patrolling almost every field nearby. We've seen a few fresh colored Monarchs too but they have either been on the move or hard to photograph. This male had just landed in a tree but as I pulled out my camera he began to fly away. I was able to get this quick shot.
