At least 6 Robins seen at once in my yard, that had stay through the entire winter in our neighborhood. I supplied fresh cut grapes, apples, good bird mix, suet & fresh water. I have a older cherry tree Robins love to eat but I think most may have left, unfortunately birds of prey hunting our area especially my yard, & Doves. Also many humans removing what's left of city habitats.... On 1 very chilly day a whole huge yard cleared of old lovely trees & shrubs were torn out and I witnessed one distraught displaced cardinal who was faced with no home and freezing temps by night time. That yard was the the last place I saw the Robins on the wires overhead and have not saw the bunch of them since. I have 1 friendly Robin in my yard that's always here, I do occasionally see another Robin come but it is afraid of me. Also yellow finches,& red finches, stayed over-winter. Our Arborvitae trees Provided much protection for birds to shelter in. It's been a struggle to keep them alive since commercial property owners brought bagworms to the neighborhood and don't treat their trees. Juncos, have left but they come every year. One Chickadee came back, but I'm waiting to see if house sparrows return we had a large number of them for years they never left but their numbers have been getting smaller every year and u hardly ever see them anymore, except for 1 male sparrow who lives with finches.
