Our first of the season (very mature male with bright red throat.) He appeared one day after Earth Day, which is the usual sighting time here, just before sunrise. I rushed around and re-filled my feeders with fresh warmish hum-mix, since it was just above freezing out there this morning. I am looking forward to having them all return; by the end of last summer we had several families!
