This is the best image I could get. It was a warm sunny morning with a pretty strong breeze and every one of the Monarchs I saw was flitting swiftly around the field. This particular Monarch landed briefly on many Antelope Horns milkweed plants.
Do the Monarchs who eclose here in Central Texas (ie, the 2nd generation who develop from the eggs laid here by the 1st generation from Mexico) lay eggs here before they move further north?
