There has been a wood frog calling at night. It has been on the chilly to cold side and I haven't seen any more of my usual spring birds.

The Bluebirds are busy at the nesting house, so I think mama may be sitting on the nest.

Due to the salmonella outbreak in Vermont and New Hampshire, I'll take a break from feeding seeds as soon as the Meaties are gone this week. Will miss some of my friends, but would never forgive myself if I killed them.

I'll just have to spoil the Hummers with extra nectar plants. Last year, they fed daily on a Firecracker Salvia.
