My first Monarch was a female intent on laying eggs on evey single Common Milkweed sprout above ground. I counted 28 easily, but I think she laid more. I watched her for about an hour in my native plant garden. She did not care to try any flowers, just skimming low to the ground searching for milkweed. Also took several videos.
