This is a follow-up photo to my Monarch Adult Sighted report. This is the beautiful female monarch I observed nectaring from tall prairie plantains this afternoon ~ between light rain showers. Her wings are not very faded, but they are not bright either, and they have some tattering. I am still finding some eggs on the milkweed (not many), so she may be egg-laying here or maybe just traveling through. Glad to see her & glad she has good nutritious sources of nectar to stay healthy.
