This is a follow-up photo to my Monarch Adult Sighted report. This is one of the monarchs I saw today. He was the first one I found this morning, as he nectared from blossoms on a roughleaf dogwood tree. It was very windy, but this tree was sheltered from the wind, so he found a peaceful place to really take the time to fill up with good nectar. He has bright, untattered wings, so seems quite young, but also has a bit of wear on the top of his wings.
