Hummingbird, Nectaring from Flowers
Sightings report image

Date: 05/09/2021

Number: 2

2 new Rubythroats. One no tail looks like a big bug flew in while sitting out around 7:45 a.m. Then another female came in nectaring on Mirage salvia, Black and blue salvia. They are just hanging out in trees.
My daughter in Pearland has seen 2 since 4th May going to her pink saliva and purple gurantica I gave her. Gave her Black and blue salvia since that seems to be the hummingbird attraction this year.
We are both using small purple high view feeders with red ribbon tied on hook they go to. These hummingbirds coming in seem to be very young hummingbirds.

The juvenile no tail is on a maple tree twig in photo next to ring.
